HKLMS will collect Members’ submitted information such as names, email addresses and telephone numbers in order to authenticate a member and to communicate with that member about its Services.

HKLMS may also choose to log non-personal identifiable data including your IP address, user data, and browser type, from all Members and visitors to the site. This data collection is used to assist us in managing the website, tracking the usage and improving our Services as defined in our Terms and Conditions. Sometimes, HKLMS or a partner organisation may sponsor a promotion or contest on HKLMS. We use a number of services from Google including Google Remarketing, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager Integrations, Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. These are used to report how our ad impressions, other uses of ad services, interactions with these ad impressions and also ad services are related to visits to your site. Using these services allow us to also share non-identifiable data about users to provide a better experience at HKLMS the website.

We also use data from Google’s Interest-based advertising and third-party audience data (such as age, gender and interests) from Google Analytics.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
